Ostmakeriet is a small cheese factory specializing in high-grade premium cheeses made from local ingredients. They are from the island Rindö located on the outskirts of Stockholm. They also have a subbrand named "Rindö Glass" that produces flavorful ice cream.
My new logotype (to the left) is a more practical and cleaner version of their logotype they are using today. We wanted to keep the elements they already are using but give it a better use. This new logotype is easy to make as a stamp or sticker making the production cheaper as it is a small-scale company.
We also gave them a new color palette inspired by the Swedish nature and the Island Rindö. The fonts we have chosen are supposed to give the emotion of something old and handmade while still being readable.
All cheeses will have this pattern on the label where only the background color is changing between the different cheeses. The cheese will also be wrapped in black paper, keeping that premium feeling while keeping the cost low.
For their ice cream subbrand, we wanted it to look totally different as it is supposed to not be related to Ostmakeriet. They have had no logotype for Rindö Glass and therefore we chose this elegant logotype to give a premium feel to the brand.
We chose to give all different flavors the same elegant and minimalistic design where only the label on the top of the ice cream jar would be changed. We chose to do it this way to also keep the production cheaper so the company can focus on growing and producing more ice cream instead of having to worry about the design costing too much.
